| Frontes were exhibited at the Tokyo Motor Show from 1962 to 1964, and the 800 cc class small passenger vehicle that was shown as an R & D vehicle was eventually released as the Fronte 800 in 1965. It featured a water-cooled 2-stroke 785 cc power plant and a front-engine front-wheel drive set up mated to a 4-speed transmission that propelled the car to a top speed of 115 km/h. Its styling was ahead of its time, which assured its favorable reception. |
