| The FCX uses Honda's own high efficiency, high output "ultra capacitor" capacitor system, which allows powerful and responsive driving. By optimizing the layout of power train components, the FCX has enough interior space for 4 adults despite its compact body size, and omni-directional crash safety performance. On Dec. 2, 2002, a Japanese-specification Honda FCX fuel cell vehicle was leased to the Cabinet Office of the prime minister's office. On the same day (PST), another Honda FCX was delivered to the city of Los Angeles. The Honda FCX was the first fuel cell vehicle in the world to be certified by the U.S. government for sale. |
