| The most significant features of the new Hino Poncho are its low floor for easy entry and exit and the largest full flat floor space in its class (at least 80% of the whole passenger space), which was realized by laying out the tires at the corners of the vehicle. Additional features include the ability to maneuver around narrow corners in residential areas and the like and a friendly design, whose simplicity and roundness makes it ideal for use as a community bus in Japan's aging and barrier free society. It was also the first bus in its class to conform to Japan's 2005 (long-term) emissions regulations, thus emphasizing its excellent environmental performance. |
