| The Model BX91, which went into production in January, 1948, was a large diesel bus developed for use in public transportation, which was in a chaotic state in the post-war years. It was a revolutionary vehicle in its time, with a special chassis that made it possible to lower the floor, front shock absorbers, long-span rear springs, and an underslung body. It showed the way for domestic bus production after the war and is the foundation for bus design even today. A 1955 Model BX95 bus that was used in Sapporo has been preserved, and groups of bus enthusiasts have maintained numerous models in the BX series in working order. |
