On its release by Nissan Diesel Motor Co., Ltd. in November 2004, the heavy duty Quon truck conformed to the world's most severe new long-term exhaust emissions regulations (enforced in October 2005) a year ahead of schedule. ☆ Outstanding fuel efficiency, environmental performance and reduced CO2 emissions that conform to long-term exhaust regulations Ultra-high pressure injection atomizes the fuel into minute particles to improve combustion efficiency, reduce PM and boost fuel efficiency. In conjunction with clearing the new long-term exhaust emissions regulations ahead of schedule, the Quon helps to achieve the CO2 reductions stipulated in the Kyoto Protocol. ☆ Full model change of cab Through the adoption of a fully re-designed cab, the latest advanced analysis technology was applied to greatly reduce the air resistance of the exterior. The interior embodies the latest in safety and comfort bearing in mind the concept of universal design. ・Specific improvements to improve comfort and safety include an increase in compartment space, the provision of operational devices designed for ease of use based on ergonomic principles, and the adoption of world's first driver's seat SRS knee airbag. ☆ The Quon ADG-CD4ZA was awarded a good design award ・The award was bestowed for the following accomplishments: contribution to lowering customers' operational costs through an improvement in fuel efficiency; supporting the operational requirements of the logistics industry through advanced environmental performance; clearing the world's most severe 2005 exhaust emissions regulations; contribution to the CO2 reductions stipulated in the Kyoto Protocol; reducing the fatigue of drivers involved in hard long-distance driving; and the creation of a safer work environment. |

| Points of interest, topicality | : | The world's first practical automotive application of a urea-SCR system. Due to its first use of urea water (called "AdBlue") as a reduction agent, the supply infrastructure was improved. 1290 supply bases of AdBlue (including Nissan Diesel's own distribution outlets) were set up. The paint line was modified to allow the use of colors specified by the customer. The resulting high quality genuine custom paint options have been well received and total production has reached 10,000 vehicles. ・Awarded the 55th JSAE Technology Development Award ・Awarded the 2005 Good Design Award |
