| To achieve the goal of making the most suitable logistics vehicle for the 21st century, Hino created a small truck based on a new idea. Based on a concept of creating a smart, easy-to-use, capable vehicle, the Dutro features new technology integrated with Hino's leading truck know-how. It embodies a new generation of small trucks capable of meeting the needs of customers on all levels. The Hino Dutro has gained a good reputation from customers since its release in May 1999 due to its low pollution CNG, LPG and gasoline engine options (the only such truck in its class). In addition, the Dutro series also offers variants provided with DDR clean diesel technology for ultra-low PM emissions, a DPNR system, and the world's first hybrid system in a small truck. |

| Points of interest, topicality | : | The world's first hybrid truck, the Hino Dutro Hybrid is a small cab-over type truck with advanced environmental performance. It achieved the 2015 fuel efficiency standards for 2005 and uses a new diesel engine that conforms to the long-term exhaust emissions regulations well in advance. Combining a high-performance parallel hybrid system with the DPR clean diesel system significantly reduces exhaust emissions and soot while maintaining powerful dynamic performance. |

| Features | : | For the front, a newly developed coil spring independent suspension was adopted. Leaving the double wishbone unchanged and changing the torsion spring to a coil spring enabled superior operation stability and ride comfort that caused less fatigue. In addition, the rear leaf spring suspension has high rigidity and flexibility and ensured good performance when driven on bad roads. The new frame that was developed to be strong and tough provided torsional rigidity even under severe use environments. The truck also has excellent driving stability and is silent with suppressed noise and vibration. |

| Fetures | : | The Hino Dutro's unique DPR clean system has cutting-edge environmental performance. It uses cool EGR to suppress the combustion temperature and a DPR cleaner to scrub the exhaust gas. The engine is also equipped with a turbocharger to improve combustion efficiency, a common rail fuel injection system, and a computer that performs cooperative control with the engine. This earth-friendly clean diesel engine was developed with much effort. |
