A dirt bike built for serious off-road riding, the Trail 250 was equipped with wide-radius block-pattern tires on a light and slim body, and stood high off the ground. The elegant and functional design sealed its popularity, putting it at the vanguard of off-road models.
It featured a 5-port engine with primary kick start, and Ceriani-type front suspension.
The engine was newly designed for mass production and based on a motocross design for single-cylinder racing. Although it was a 250 cc engine, the design concept achieved a size and weight on a par with the 125 cc engine one class below it. |
