[Outline] The drive guide system was a geomagnetic navigation system. After inputting a departure location and the direction and distance to a destination, processing was performed by a direction sensor and microcomputer, and the direction of the destination and the remaining linear distance were shown on the meter. [Detail] The system included a keyboard unit, display unit, direction sensor, direction sensor amplifier, vehicle speed sensor, etc. It had 2 functions: guide mode and compass mode. Guide mode: After setting a destination before starting, the direction (arrow) and ratio of the remaining linear distance to the destination would be shown in a bar graph. Compass mode: If the driver set an arbitrary direction, the bearing of the set direction would be shown during the drive. [Setting] Option on some models. |
